The 21st-century society has turned into a competitive field and everyone is involved in this rat race to earn a living. Charles Darwin, in his theory of evolution, mentioned the phrase ‘Survival of the Fittest’, saying that “It is not the strongest of the species that survives; nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change”.
Analyzing and introspecting our own behaviour can help us in understanding our own standpoint in life. Each of us has a different way of comprehending a certain situation which is responsible for the way in which we respond to it.
The human mind is flooded with emotions which get triggered when we deal with various circumstances. These circumstances can be tricky and demanding to deal with rationally. This is when we tend to lose control of our emotions and take a decision that we may regret afterwards. Our own experiences may teach us the best lessons and if we keep questioning ourselves and dig deeper into our thoughts.
Newton’s third law of motion states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This law is applicable to human interaction as well but unlike physical objects, humans are guided by their feelings and experiences which causes disruptions in their actions/reactions.
A cluttered mind with unresolved issues is more susceptible to reacting in an irrational way while a clear mind acts in a more practical way. Our hectic lives often make us feel burdened and stressful that leads us to react in ways leading to unpleasantness and regret. Hence, we need to distinguish between an action- a more rational way of responding to a certain situation, and reaction – a more irrational way of responding to a certain situation based on our impulsiveness. We can do so by questioning our every move and developing a more critical perspective towards it. This is precisely what Self Coaching entails.
We often stand in front of the mirror to look at our own appearance and introspect about the ways in which people may judge us based on the ways in which we present ourselves. It is not only the outer appearance that needs a mirror, our innermost thoughts and personality also need a mirror of our consciousness to help us evolve as humans and create a better version of ourselves.
Self Coaching will open a path that will show us the way to stay positive and calm even when dark clouds of hopelessness and disappointment surround us.
